ABOUT ME
Jay (he/they) is a diversity, equity and inclusion professional with over ten years of social justice advocacy. Whether it’s in the corporate world, a classroom, or a remote village in Thailand, he is driven by his desire to make the world a better place for all.
After transitioning, Jay decided to dedicate their life to LGBTQ+ advocacy. They have been featured on Inside Kansas Politics, The Mid America LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s Transformations in the Workplace, the City of Kansas City Missouri’s Transgender Day of Visibility, as well as Equality Kansas’ Equality Day.
Jay graduated from the University of Rochester with a BA in Anthropology and Religion as well as the University of Kansas with a MA in Religious Studies.
They are an amateur Kansas historian and cohost of Religiously Literate, a podcast exploring the diversity of religious beliefs around the world.
